Katie Stevens was "American Idol" on this year. Katie Stevens' dream of becoming this year's "American Idol" ended Wednesday when she was voted out of the contest was with Andrew Garcia, after a season-high 34 million votes cast.
Stevens said her experience after hearing her fate, she said: "It was the best, all the wonderful people I met [and] the incredible experience it was." And also said that "Baby What you want me to do" for Elvis Week, the one version most judges compliment. But she sang an emotional version of "Let It Be" with tears in her eyes farewell performance.
She also said that "You do half the room shouted," host Ryan Seacrest told her. "We will miss you. Your parents will be very proud of you."
"There are no words to express how proud his father and I are what she has been able to perform," her mother Clara Stevens said in a taped package that followed her goodbye.
